Famous markets in Hanoi you should not miss
Hanoi always is one of best places to see of any Vietnam tour. Hom market
Hom market is Hanoi’s fabric market, making it an excellent destination if you plan to have some clothes made, or if you just want to be in awe of all colors, textures and life here. The first floor of the market is divided into many sections of meat, fish, vegetables, sweets and groceries. There is a large part for footwear and bags. The second floor is for fabric, hundreds of stalls with fabrics stacked to the roof.
Hang Be market
Just 5 minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, Hang Be market has been existed with local people for hundred of years. Many people believe that food here are more delicious than any other places in Hanoi. Having a walking tour along this market after visit Hoan Kiem Lake or before the traditional water puppet show is recommended to all travelers to the capital city.
Dong Xuan Market
Originally built by the French in 1889, Dong Xuan is the largest indoor market of Hanoi where the whole sale traders sell everything from clothes, household goods to foodstuffs. To visit Dong Xuan is not only to go shopping. It is to view colorful grocery stalls or radiant textile stalls full of vignettes, to listen to noisy talk sound from buyers and sellers, and to feel the rhythm of life of roseate workers.
Quang Ba flower market
To see another side of Hanoi, visit Quang Ba flower market at night or early morning. You might come here at 4.00 – 5.00am or earlier if possible as this is the market’s busiest time. You will be lost in a busy market with numerous basins and buckets containing colorful fresh flowers that are sold with wholesale prices. Contemplating radiant flowers at freezing winter night, you will experience the most beautiful moments that Hanoi specially gives for you.
