Ca Mau is the capital of Ca Mau province, which is the southernmost part of Vietnam. In fact, Ca Mau has the lowest population density in southern Vietnam. However, it does not mean that Ca Mau could not become a pleasant attraction for travelers. The town itself has developed recently with many busy shopping streets, wide boulevards and parks. Ca Mau has a cool climate all year round but you should come here in the dry season which starts from December to April.
Ca Mau is 380km from Ho Chi Minh City, 180km from Can Tho and 130km from Rach Gia.
From Can Tho Airport, travelers can get to Ca Mau by bus. The ticket price is from 125,000 VND to 150,000 VND.
From Saigon, tourists can buy the bus ticket at Mien Tay bus station to get to Ca Mau. The ticket price ranges from 150,000 VND to 200,000 VND.
Hon Khoai Island
Hon Khoai Island is situated in Ngoc Hien District which is 14.6 km away to the southwest of Nam Can Town. It is considered one of the most beautiful islands in the south of Vietnam.
