Visa guide for tourists to visit Vietnam
Vietnam is a beautiful country and blessed with rich culture, stunning landscape, yummy foods, pristine beaches and a lot of things to do on your Vietnam holiday. List of Vietnam visa exemption:
Tourists from Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand can visit Vietnam with 30 days without a visa.
Tourists from the Philippines can stay in Vietnam with 21 days without a visa.
Brunei, Denmark, Norway, South Korea, Finland, Russia, Sweden, Japan and recently Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, France and Italy can enter Vietnam without a visa within 15 days.
No need to apply Vietnam visa if tourists stay on Phu Quoc island of Vietnam, but not longer than 30 days. Tourists will have to fly directly to Phu Quoc island.
Apply Vietnam Visa:
If you are not exempt from Vietnam visa, it is a must to obtain Vietnam in advance at a Vietnamese embassy aboard, or on arrival at an international airport or border in Vietnam.
1. Requirements to obtain Vietnam visa at the Embassy of Vietnam aboard.
• Your passport must be valid at least ONE MONTH prior to your proposed date of exit from Vietnam.
• Your photo must not be taken more than a year.
• All visa information must be checked once you receive. Passport number and visa date must be correct. The error needs to be amended before your departure date. No refund for the applicable fees or compensation if your visa to Vietnam is refused for some reasons.
• Your Vietnam visa can be obtained by post, email, but it is best if you can come to the embassy during working hour.
Required documents:
• Fill out the visa form provided by the embassy.
• Valid passport (Scanned copy of the photo page of valid passport)
• Applicable fees with Proof of fee payment by bank transfer
Note: The Embassy of Vietnam aboard can be your first choice, but it seems complicated and takes your time to read all requirements, submit the visa form, pay the fees. Again, there is no refund or compensation if your visa to Vietnam is failed to obtain for some reasons.
