Con Dao market- the hustle and bustle of daily life

Located on Con Dao Island (one of historical Vietnam destiantions) off mainland Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, Con Dao Market is crowded with locals and visitors.
There is a wide range of necessities for islanders and tourists at the market. Fruit and vegetables are fresh while many foodstuffs such as meat and seafood as well as processed and vegetarian foods can be found there.
Notably, the seafood area is always crowded. Tourists buy freshly-caught fish, shrimp, squid, crab and clam, among others, at affordable prices.
Travel to Con Dao, visitors can buy souvenirs and gifts for families and friends at the market. The roasted fruit of terminalia catappa, or bang in Vietnamese, is a unique specialty there. Therefore, some small packs of the roasted fruit are a perfect gift after a visit to the island. Tourists can also find key chains, bracelets, wind chimes and conches in different shapes and sizes.
