We embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside, before reaching the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims...

Payment Method:
• If you decide to book, we will require deposit which is 30% of the total tour cost by credit cards or wire transfer. The balance (outstanding) will be paid on your arrival in cash, credit cards or combination.
Cancellation Policy:
• Before 30 days: Refund 50% of deposit 
• Between 20 – 29 days prior to departure: Refund 30% of deposit 
• Between 10 – 19 days prior to departure: Refund 10% of deposit  
• Between 01 – 9 days prior to departure: Full charge 100% of deposit 
Our cancellation policy is various based on real situation. In case of cancellation, we will try our best to discuss with our suppliers to get a best refund for you. However, refunds will not be given for unused or cancelled services after the tour arrangements have commenced.

Day 1: Luang Prabang Arrival (G)

Day 2: Luang Prabang - Full day City Tour (B) (G)
luang prabang city tourYour full day city tour begins after breakfast, with a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts. We then enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. Today, we also visit the Arts and Ethnology Centre to learn about Laos’ many ethnic cultures before we head out of town to see the weaving villages of Ban Xiengkhong and Ban Xienglek before we then return to the city for a visit to Wat Mai. We then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city at sunset and the Mekong River. The tour ends after a visit to the famous Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Day 3: Pak Ou Cave - Khuang Si Waterfall (B) (G)

On return, we disembark the boat to visit traditional villages, and continue taking a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village famous for its hand weaving
This afternoon, we’ll visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, a Hmong village, Ban Ou a Laoloum village and Ban Thapene, Khmu villages.  This then takes us to the beautiful Khuang Si Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails. Day 4: Luang Prabang - Vang Vieng & Tour (B) (G)

After breakfast we then drive to Vang Vieng and stop along the way at Phoukhun Phiengfa restaurant for take a beautiful landscape, before we reach Vang Vieng then check in and after you will have free time to explore the town further we then excursion to Vang Vieng, upon arrival Vang Vieng. On arrival Vang Vieng then we check in and start visit Tham Jang Cave and after that do boat trip along Nam Song River. Overnight in Vang Vieng


Day 5: Vang Vieng - Vientiane & City Tour (B) (G)
Today we drive 3hrs to Vientiane and stop on the way at finishing villages (Ban Houimor) and Hmong Market at KM 52 before we reached Vientiane then check in and after that we start we explore the town; with Wat Sisaket which is the oldest temple still standing in Vientiane. This amazing structure features remarkable frescoes and Buddha images. We continue sightseeing by visiting Haw Prakeo, the former royal temple of Laos monarchy, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Statue. We then visit the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane's own Arc de Triumph before continuing to the famous That Luang Stupa. Overnight in Vientiane

Day 6: Vientiane fly to Pakse - Tadlo - Pakse (B) (G)
family tour in laosToday we take an earlier flight to Pakse, upon arrival we then check in hotel (Depending room available) and we then continue our journey towards Tadlo, through Boloven plateau. The Boloven Plateau is known for its cooler temperature being located high above the Mekong Valley. Rivers run off this high plateau in all directions and then plunge out to lush forests along in a series of spectacular surging waterfalls. A trip to the plateau provides a refreshing break from the heat and allows you to observe the cultivation of rich coffee, tea, cardamom, bananas, and other crops that can be seen en route.  This trip gives visitors the chance to venture off the beaten track and to discover some of the lesser-known areas of Laos, exploring the wild beauty of this southern region. Upon arrival at Tad Lo waterfall, we visit the villages of Alak, Nge, and Katu, populated by ethnic minority groups. We return to Pakse by late evening. Overnight in Pakse

Day 7: Pakse - Watphou - 4000 Island (B) (G)
laos and cambodia tourToday we then transfer to boat pier for take boat down Mekong River to Champassak and to visit the fascinating pre-angkorian ruins of Wat Phou, one of Southeast Asia's most dramatically situated temples. We have time to explore these intriguing Khmer ruins, which are perched at the base of Mount Phu Kao. Wat Phou is one of the Laos World Heritage sites recognized by UNESCO in 2001, this wonderful archeological site of Khmer civilization dates back to the 10th century, predating the famous Angkor Wat in Cambodia. We continue our journey by land to Ban Hatxaikhoun and the take ferry crossing Mrkong to Don Khong, the largest island in the South Mekong river region known as the 4000 islands, one of the most scenic areas in Laos. Overnight in Don Khong Island

Day 8: 4000 Island - Full day surrounding (B) (G)
indochina tour in laos and cambodiaAfter an early breakfast, we explore the local villages of Ban Khone, where you will see an array of relics from the French colonial era and retrace the old colonial past, including old French colonial buildings and the remnants of the first Lao railway with it’s locomotive. We continue discover the 4000 islands area by Tuk Tuk at our leisure to visit the Liphi waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls marking the end of Lao border to Cambodia, also known as the Samphamith, If we are lucky we may even see the rare freshwater Irrawaddy Mekong dolphin at Ban Hang Khone. We return to Ban Nakasang and drive to famous waterfalls of Khone Phapeng, the largest waterfall in South East Asia, known as Niagara of the east. Overnight in Don Khong Island

Day 9: 4000 Island - Dongalor Border - Cambodian border - Preah Vihear (B) (G)

We start some visits around Stung Treng town. The visit includes a walk into the local market and along the river front, a visit to the provincial head quarter. Then, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon we head on to PreahVihear temple on a 4-hours journey passing through some remote part of Cambodia. Arrival at PreahVihear we check in at hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in PreahVihear.

Day 10: Preah Vihear – Siem Reap (B) (G)
cambodia tour packageMorning we climb to the hilltop of Preah Vihear by car and then walk around the temple building starting from the West gate to the main temple shrine. The temple was built in the 12th century by the Khmer.In recent years Cambodia and Thailand were at war with one another disputing the ownership of this magnificent temple located high on the hillside on the border between Cambodia and Thailand. There are still many military presence on both side of the border but here you can also have a chance of touring the front-line of both side, specially the Cambodian side, asides from the temple. You may feel it is too adventurous but it is completely safeas now both sides are drinking tea and coffee with one another and are keen to show you there trenches and weaponries. Afternoon we climb down and continue to Siem Reap on another 4-hours trip. Arrival in Siem Reap, check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in SiemReap .

Day 11: Siem Reap - Angkor Wat (B) (G)
indochina holiday in cambodiaWe start our day with the visit to Angkor Thom which include the visit to the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun and the elephant terraces. Then continue to Ta Pruhm temple that has nearly disappeared into the jungle. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant which is located on a bank of the historic swimming pool of Jayavarman the 7th built dated back to the 11th century. Afternoon we visit Angkor Wat and end the day with the climb to the hilltop of Bakhengmountain to view a spectacular sunset. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 12: Angkor Wat – Kbal Spean – Angkor Wat (B) (G)
indochina holiday in cambodiaVisit to Kbal Spean, a reference to the natural rock bridge, is one of the easiest ways to take a short jungle trek in the Angkor area. It is a 40-minute walk to the carvings through steamy forest and some curious rock formations. Kbal Spean lies 50 kilometers northeast of Siem Reap provincial town or about 18 kilometers from BanteaySrei. The original River of Thousand Lingams, Kbal Spean is an intricately carved riverbed deep in the foothills of the Cambodian jungle. Lingams are phallic representations sacred to Brahmanism as symbols of fertility, and hundreds of them are carved into the rock here, as are several carvings of gods and animals above the small waterfall. We have lunch at a local restaurant near to the mountain. Then go on to visit BanteaySrei temple which is not far from Kbal Spean. BanteaySrei is a small temple but it is considered the best the birthplace of Khmer art. The decorations are so impressive and it is nearly everyone’s favorite site.  Afternoon we take a boat ride at Kampong Pluk village where houses are built very high on stilts. We tour around the village and the flooded forest. Return back to town and enjoy dinner which will be on your own account. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 13: Siem Reap – Battambang (B) (G)
battambang in cambodiaAfter breakfast, transfer to the pier and embark on a boat trip to Battambang. The trip takes approximately 6-7 hours during the high-water-level that is from August to January (8-9 hours during the low water level between Feb-July) on the Cambodian traditional boat cruising through some remote part of water-world of Cambodia. The journey may be long but it’s worth doing it as you will experience something that few people has ever done this route. Meet the people who live isolated from the modern world whose live depending on fishing and farming. Arrive in Battambang we check-in at hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Battambang.
(Trip to Battambang by boat during the low water season is not recommended now as it may take too long and may cause a lot of inconveniences)

Day 14: Battambang (B) (G)
cambodia travel to battambangToday we visit Prasat Banon and then take a walk through some nice villages passing through the grasps and orange plantation. Here you will have a chance to taste the local made red/white wine. Afternoon we enjoy the bamboo train ride to visit some of the remote part of Battambang located along the railways flanked by the rice paddies and local villages. Later in the afternoon, we take a walk along the river-front of the Sangkeriver observing the local way of life in this old French colonial town. The boulevards and roads of Battambang town flanked by many beautiful old French colonial houses and buildings. Overnight in Battambang.

Day 15: Battambang – Phnom Penh (B) (G)
phnom penh city tourMorning we leave Battambang for Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. The trip takes approximately 6 hours by car. Arrival in Phnom Penh we check-in the hotel. Afternoon we visit the Royal Palace and the National Museum. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

How to proceed to book Vietnam tour/Indochina holiday with you?

  • When you decide to book your Vietnam tour/Indochina holiday with us, please send us your full name (name on passport) for hotel and domestic flight reservations, and your international flight details (in and out) for airport transfers.

How to pay the deposit and the balance?

  • Deposit: When the booking is completely confirmed, we will send you confirmation details including confirmed itinerary, invoice, voucher. Then you are required to send the deposit which is about 30% of the total tour cost (can be less). You can pay by credit cards (via onepay gateway, pay online), wire/bank transfer, western union. The deposit is used to pay the flight tickets, hotels, train tickets in advance.
  • Balance: You can pay the outstanding balance 2 weeks before your arrival, or you can pay us on your arrival in Vietnam by credit cards, cash (AUD, USD, EUROS, VND...)
  • More about credit card payment via OnePay: ONEPAY - ONLINE PAYMENT GATEWAY (VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX & JCB ACCEPTED)
    Like PayPal, OnePAY is a payment gateway but specialized in Vietnam where the PayPal has not yet reached. This is a perfect and the first payment processor which gains reputation among clients about its efficiency and timely friendly support.

What about tipping?

  • The tour guides and drivers expect tips, but it is not mandatory. You can tip more or less, or nothing that depends on the serviced provided. We recommend that you trip the tour guides; US$ 10 - 15  per day anddrivers: US$ 7-10 per day. Tipping at restaurants, tuk tuk, cyclo, taxi..., our tour guides will give you the advice.

Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, we offer discounts for;

  •  Family with kids and children < 12 years old
  •  Disable people
  •  People of old ages (> 65 years old)
  •  Repeated clients who have the second trip with us
  •  Travel in big group of friends, families (the more people, the cheaper the price is)
  •  We offer big discounts in low season (May - September)

Is there any charge if i change my travel dates, tour itinerary, hotels...?

  • We are happy to work on your requests, and will not charge you any money for all extra work. However, if it is too urgent and the date is too close, the hotels or airlines may charge you some money, in this case we will let you know.

What is the latest time that I can make my reservation?

  • We suggest you make reservations at least one month before the departure date. If you decide to travel to Vietnam/Indochina from October to April which is peak season, we recommend that you make the reservations two months (at least one) before your departure date. Late reservations can not be guaranteed for the availability of domestic flights, hotel rooms, etc. However, we can accept urgent booking, just 1-2 days before arrival. Things are possible at Holiday to Indochina.

What about Cancellation policy?

  • In case of cancellation, we will not impose any charges if we are not being charged and possible to get refund from our suppliers but if our suppliers apply charges for cancellation, you will have to pay those charges that apply. Cancellation policies vary, depending upon the type of service, the time of year, and the reason for cancellation. We will pass on to you all details of any cancellation policy with our transparent reply upon demand.

General cancellation charges that applied by travel services in Vietnam and Indochina.

  • Domestic flights: 25% of the fares
  • 3 star hotels, train tickets, no charge if you cancel 3-5 days before your arrival. (FIT)
  • 4 star hotels, 7 - 10 days before your arrival (FIT)
  • 5 stars hotels, 10 - 15 days before your arrival (FIT)

However, in peak season, we may have to pay the hotels one month before your arrival to secure the booking, and in this case, the cancellation policy will be based on the hotels' cancellation plolicies.

Can we get refund?

  • For the unused services, Holiday to Indochina will refund you.

How do I get a visa?

  • Vietnam Visa - For those who would like to avoid the perhaps lengthening visa procedures with their local Vietnam's Embassies, the service of  Vietnam Visa On Arrival is available for help. It is legitimated and supported by the Vietnamese Immigration Department. We recommend that you choose visa upon arrival, as picking up visa at the Vietnam int'l airport/border is quite simple, easy, no additional charges and no fail.

Steps to obtain Visa on arrival
a) Please provide the following information for us to apply for your visa.

  • 1) Full name on passport (male/female)
  • 2) Passport number
  • 3) Date of birth
  • 4) Nationality
  • 5) Date of arrival
  • 6) Date of issue
  • 7) Date of expire
  • 8) Please make sure that your passport is still valid for 6 months

b) How long does it take?

  • It will take 2-3 days (Normal process), 01 day (Urgent process) to get the “Visa Approval Letter” which we will send you via mail. What you need is to print it out and take it along to get the stamp at airports/borders

c) Get the stamp

  • Upon arrival, you will need to fill in a certain form with your personal information, get the stamp and visa will be done. For this process, you will need to prepare 02 photos (4*6) and $45 USD each in cash which is stamping fee.

Do our tour guides and drivers have meals with us?

  • The guide and the driver in each destination will dine at the same restaurant as yours. But, they will not join you unless you invite them.

Where can I change our money into Vietnam currency?

  • We advise you to stop in any Vietnamese bank during the tour (Our tour guides will take you to the bank), you can exchange money at your hotel, but the exchange rate is a bit lower than the bank's exchange rate.

Can I use credit cards in Vietnam?

  • Major credit cards such as Master Card, Visa, Diner's Card, American Express and JCB can be used to purchase goods in large shopping malls and stores in the big and medium cities, to pay for hotel rooms and for meals in some of the fancier restaurants, and to buy plane tickets with them.

Note: If you are to travel to those small cities or even remote rural areas, only cash in Dong can be used.

Do I need to bring my medical record with me?

  • Yes, we suggest you take your medical record with you in case that you need it in the event of an emergency, and please also take with you your doctor's name, address and phone number, emergency contact name and phone number, and your insurance company's name, address and phone number.

When I finish my tour in Vietnam, if I still have some local money, what can I do?

  • Upon leaving Vietnam, if you still have some local money, you can change them back to foreign currency with your passport and the exchange memos given by the banks or money exchange counters. So please keep those exchange memos well whenever you change money.

  •  5 years of experience working as a tour guide
  •  Guiding does require more than just hanging out in the sun. Guides must be friendly and good with people, organized enough to keep groups or people on schedule, quick on their feet and ready for the inevitable snafus that arises.
  •  Must be an honest broker of their services and able to take criticism.
  • Should be qualified at some level in health, health care or first aid.
  •  Able to relate to people from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
  • Clear speech and good hearing.
  • Must not be a alcoholic or No-alcohol during working time or anytime when on tour.
  • Tour guide is a nurse to take care of visitors, a boss to keep the right itinerary, a teacher to give information, an ambassador to introduce our country, an entertainer
  • Must be on time every time. Being late or delay is unacceptable.
  • Check flight tickets, train tickets, meals, weather... to make sure things are in order and inform local office if any changes that might effect the tour.
  • Solve problems with care when there is dissatisfy. Argument should be averted by courtesy.
  • If any change of itinerary is needed for unexpected reasons, your private tour guides will be more than accommodating in suggesting alternatives to ensure that you always have a wonderful experience.

  • Our drivers must have good driving skills with at least 5 years of experience
  • Our drivers must keep the vehicles clean,
  • Our drivers are not allowed to hear cell-phone or smoke, chat, drink when driving.
  • Our drivers must be friendly, helpful.
  • Our drivers are not allowed to take you to shops unless you ask for.
  • Your vehicle in each destination is air conditioned, insured, clean, and regularly maintained.
