Vinh Phuc Travel Guide
Vinh Phuc is located in the plains and midland of the North Vietnam, and it is surrounded by Tuyen Quang and Thai Nguyen provinces, Hanoi and Phu Tho Province. Every year, Vinh Phuc attracts many tourists thanks to its beautiful nature and landscapes. Tam Dao Tourist Resort is a wonderful summer resort which is located 900m above sea-level. Transportation
All the roads, waterwa and railway to get to Vinh Phuc are very convenient.

- Vinh Yen City is 63km from Hanoi and 30km from Noi Bai International Airport.
By Bus
In Hanoi there are two buses to come to Vinh Phuc from Me Linh Plaza to Vinh Yen. When getting there, touritsts take the bus from Vinh Yen to Tam Dao.
By Car/ Motorbike
Vinh Phuc is not so far from Hanoi and it is easy to get there. Visitors totally can plan for a long trip, a weekend trip or a daily trip.
Climate
Vinh Phuc has a favorable climate. The annual average temperature is 23.4ºC. Visitors can come to Vinh Phuc at any time of the year. The winter in Vinh Phuc is quite cold and you need to bring warm clothers when traveling there during this time.
Attractions
Tam Dao
Tam Dao is actually not a must-visit destination. However, if you’re not in a hurry and you are looking for a less touristy spots in the north of Vietnam, Tam Dao is absolutely a good choice. Tam Dao is definitely not a place for party. However, if you are interested in taking a street food tours to try doner kebabs, baked eggs, chicken feet and corn run alongside the river, and then Tam Dao is a nice place to start or even to end the night. Destinations that should not be missed in Tam Dao include Van pagoda, Telecommunication tower, Silver waterfall, Rung Rinh peak, Tam Dao ancient church, Sky Gate, Public pool, Thuong Ngan princess temple.
Dai Lai Lake
Besides Tam Dao, Dai Lai lake is also a paradise resort. Located among the blue forest and natural valleys, Dai Lai lake looks like a giant mirror that becomes an ideal holiday destination in summer. In winter, thanks to the moutains surrounding, the temperature of the lake is not too cold which is perfect for tourists to have a weekend vacation. From here, tourists can go for a walk, sightseeing, cruising the river, fishing, hiking, or visiting San Diu village, enjoying ethnic food, or visiting the Bat cave and discovering pine forests.
Truc Lam Tay Thien Zen Monastery
Truc Lam Tay Thien Zen Monastery is located in Dai Dinh Commune, Tam Dao District on Tay Thien Mountain. The monastery is 85km from Hanoi. In fact, it is considered to be one of the most beautiful and peaceful monasteries in Viet Nam. Walking around Truc Lam Tay Thien Zen Monastery, travelers can enjoy the tranquility and calmness in the air. Visitors can climb up to witness the natural landscape from the bottom or get there by car or motorcycle to the gate of Zen Monastery.
Vinh Phuc Cuisines
The food in Vinh Phuc are diverse and quite special, in which Tam Dao chayote is one of the most famous specialties. You can easily find chayote in Vietnam, but Tam Dao chayote owns superior taste thanks to cold climate.
Lap Thach Fish is also a very enjoyable dish in Vinh Phuc. It is made from simple ingredients, but the stage is extremely picky. The grilled sour fish is also outstanding. In addition, Tam Duong pineapple, Yen Tu tea are also the specialties that visitors can hardly ignore.
