Cha houy teukCha houy teuk is a sweet jelly dessert – one of the most popular street foods in Cambodia. Its sweet jelly is made of agar, a gelatin that is derived from seaweed, and very colorful in pinks or greens. The sweet jelly is combined with many other ingredients such as sago, red beans, jackfruit, sticky rice, and taro and coconut cream. Tourists can have their own jelly dessert by ordering selected ingredients to their dessert. If don’t have enough time to sit back, the assistance can wrap the dessert in a bag for you to bring away. The dessert is usually added a scoop of shaved ice before used for extra refreshing.
