Explore Ninh Binh – The highlight of your Vietnam Travel

Ninh Binh is three hours away from Hanoi, and it’s situated in a mountainous part of Vietnam. It offers travelers the calmness of a slower-paced town to get away from the hectic life of Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam. In fact, Ninh Binh seems to attract a unique brand of travelers who are looking for new and exciting experiences off the beaten path during their Vietnam tour. If you have to choose one word to describe this destination, “calm” would be the right one.

The highlight of your Vietnam Travel

Ninh Binh contains 3 main kinds of topography: limestone mountains with fascinating caves & grottos, the delta raised by Red River Silt, and a coastline with the length of 18 kilometers, enlarging the province area by 100m2 per year. Besides limestone caves and grottos, Ninh Binh also has a remarkable potential for developing tourism, especially Tam Coc-Bich Dong and Cuc Phuong national park. Discovering Ninh Binh with Holidaytoindochina.com is one of the greatest ways to fully experience its beauty.

Here is the detailed itinerary:

Depart your hotel this morning at 0800 for the 2-hour drive through rural northern Vietnam to the site of Vietnam's first capital, Hoa Lu. Visit to the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel (most of which has since been destroyed) once covered an area of three square kilometers.

Continue to Tam Coc through stunning limestone karst valleys surrounded by picturesque fields and villages, along the way stop where you wish to take photographs. On arrival in Tam Coc have a Vietnamese lunch. After lunch, board your private sampan for a leisurely 2.5-hour cruise. As the boat gently slices through the water, notice the enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields. After the boat trip, take a leisure walk through rice fields to visit picturesque Thai Vi temple or drive to Bich Dong Pagoda on nearby Ngu Nhac Mountain, dating to 1428 and comprising three structures: Ha, Trung, and Thuong Pagodas, in ascending order before returning to Hanoi by private car/bus.
